Technical Support Employee

Convident is an ambitious web agency with online marketing services that has been around for over 10 years. From our office in Groningen (with several remote specialists worldwide) we are building an organization with 25 employees. What we expect from you:

• Experience with WordPress website security, backups and updates;
• Proficiency with WordPress plugins, staging and security techniques;
• Knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript/jQuery;
• Team player with a high sense of responsibility;
• Good communication skills by phone, email and tickets;
• Reliable, precise and customer-oriented way of working with an eye for details;
• You keep your knowledge up to date and enjoy sharing new insights with the rest of the team;
• Preferably, you are proficient in the Dutch language.

Nice to have:

• Experience in UX/UI design;
• Knowledge of accessibility;
• Ability to work with GIT.

This is what your day looks like with us:

Arriving at the office at 8:30 am, you kickstart the day with a brief chat with your colleagues. After grabbing a cup of coffee or tea, you attend the weekly stand-up meeting with the team of developers. Together, you discuss the progress of ongoing projects and consult on the best solutions while considering the customers' wishes. Afterwards, you process support tickets. Your excellent communication skills enable you to assist customers professionally, answer their questions and explain technical concepts in an understandable way. With Convident's growing customer portfolio, the support and maintenance workload rises. This means you receive a diverse range of requests that keep your tasks dynamic and engaging.

12:30 pm - Time flies and it is already lunch break. Would you prefer a walk with your colleagues or enjoying some fresh air together on our terrasse today?

In the afternoon, you have scheduled time for web server and hosting-related tasks. Later, you generate maintenance reports to assess performance and plan future maintenance schedules. What particularly motivates you in this role is the chance to not only handle routine tasks but also innovate ideas for raising the support department and infrastructure to an even higher level. The workday ends at 5:00 pm, perhaps you have already made plans for some after-work drinks, so enjoy!
